In this issue, you’ll discover:
Let’s keep building the future together!

Each project represents a new challenge, and at Valtria we tackle it with innovative, efficient solutions tailored to the specific demands of the sector.
We are pleased to present the Denso project, shared by our colleague Edmundo Sánchez from the Business Development team in Mexico.

DENSO, a Japanese multinational and global leader in automotive components, recently expanded its plant in Apodaca, Monterrey. This expansion, focused on the electronic manufacturing area, led to the creation of a new production environment under controlled conditions.
Valtria by Clauger participated in this process through the design and construction of a Class ISO 8 cleanroom of over 3,000 m², intended for SMT (Surface Mount Technology) processes, which demand high standards in temperature, humidity, and particle control. The implemented solution included a high-capacity HVAC system, FM-certified enclosures, and enhancements in accessibility and technical maintenance.
This project marks the beginning of the collaboration between DENSO and Valtria by Clauger, and represents a significant step in strengthening our presence in the automotive sector, delivering engineering solutions tailored to the requirements of the advanced electronics industry.

This number reflects the interest we generate as a team and the value we bring to the industry.

Because LinkedIn is our window to the world to our clients, our partners, and future talent.
Having a strong and active community positions us as a reference in the industry and strengthens our brand.

🔹How can you continue adding value? |
From the Human Resources department, we have launched “Your Voice at Valtria,” a new initiative aimed at anonymously and honestly understanding how we experience working within the organization.
Through a confidential survey managed by the external consulting firm OpenMet, everyone will have the opportunity to share their perceptions about various aspects of daily life at Valtria. The goal is clear: to continue building a work environment where everyone’s voice matters and where we can improve from within.
Because listening is the first step toward progress, and at Valtria, we want to move forward together.

This time, we’re focusing on the C&Q department⚙️
Our colleague Jairo García has answered a few questions that allow us to gain deeper insight into the department. We’ll be covering the following topics:

1. About the Department
The primary purpose of the C&Q Department at Valtria is not only to lead or carry out Commissioning and Qualification activities for projects, but also to provide internal support to the various departments in all matters related to applicable regulations, such as GMP, ISO 14644, FDA, among others. Additionally, the department is equipped to collaborate with or advise on requests made by clients or engineering firms, thereby ensuring regulatory compliance and technical excellence throughout every phase of the project.
C&Q stands for Commissioning & Qualification. It refers to the department responsible for executing, leading, or supervising tasks related to both the commissioning and qualification of installations and utilities. These activities mainly focus on HVAC systems and cleanrooms, although they also cover other critical utilities such as purified water, compressed air, steam, and more.
In my view, our contribution is reflected in several key aspects:
– Raising the standard of Commissioning activities through the delivery of more robust and professional documentation, while also expanding the range of services offered to the client.
– Strengthening the relationship with the client during the final stage of the project, which can help build long-term loyalty for future services such as maintenance and periodic requalification.
– Increasing cost-efficiency for Valtria by internally handling Qualification activities in certain cases, thereby reducing the need to outsource to third parties.

2. Origin and Evolution
I don’t think I’m the right person to answer that question—since the idea likely came about before I joined the company, haha.
Jokes aside, the department was created to fill a gap identified after the execution phase and commissioning of projects. It became evident that clients needed additional support—whether through enhanced documentation standards or through Commissioning and/or Qualification services tailored to their specific requirements and regulatory demands.
The department was officially launched in October 2023, during the company event held in Málaga, where its formal presentation took place.
Building a department from the ground up is undeniably a major challenge. However, looking back, we can confidently say that many key milestones have been achieved — including the development and improvement of documentation, procedures, and templates; active involvement in projects; and collaboration in the preparation of commercial proposals. That said, there is still considerable room for growth and further development.
Throughout this time, the department has contributed to a wide range of projects, working closely with various branches and departments across the organization. Noteworthy highlights include collaboration with the Special Projects team on the Sanofi project (Lyon), where we were responsible for the full preparation of the Commissioning documentation, as well as support in the execution of Commissioning activities for the Sunlight project (Greece). We also worked alongside Valtria Madrid on the Qualification phase of the Grupo Jorge project, stepping in to respond to an urgent situation when the initially planned supplier was unable to meet the request. In Barcelona, we have conducted qualification activities, such as for Medichem, where we managed both documentation and execution.
Additionally, we have supported numerous commercial proposals involving Commissioning and/or Qualification services, especially in the Barcelona area, responding to specific requests from local teams.
We are aware that there is still some internal lack of awareness regarding the department and its capabilities. For this reason, one of our main goals in the coming months is to increase visibility: to explain who we are, what type of activities we carry out, and how we can bring added value to other teams.
3. Human Team
At present, and given that the department is still in a development phase and expanding its potential, I’m currently managing all functions independently. I bring over 15 years of professional experience in related departments, which has allowed me to build a versatile profile. I’ve been actively involved in project design, system commissioning, execution of Qualification activities, and the training of colleagues.
Since I am currently managing the responsibilities alone, the need for a formal organizational structure is, for now, limited. I believe this question would be better addressed later as the department grows.
4. Technical Content
Extensive work has been carried out in the development of templates and protocols covering all phases of Commissioning and/or Qualification, tailored to the various needs of our clients.
In parallel, the startup documentation templates have been reviewed and updated, incorporating new documents where needed and adapting them into a trilingual format (Spanish, English, and French).
Currently, efforts are underway to integrate all these templates into the Dalux platform, which will allow for centralized management of Commissioning and Qualification activities.
Lastly, once the documentation support was consolidated, a PowerPoint presentation was prepared with the aim of introducing it soon to the departments deemed relevant (Sales, Production, Engineering, among others), to raise awareness of the services we can offer.
What efforts do you make to stay up to date and at the forefront in terms of validations, regulations, etc.?
Part of our time is dedicated to reviewing the applicable regulations to ensure we are always working with the most up-to-date versions. We also invest effort in completing training programs that we consider relevant and useful for the department’s activities.

5. Projects
What projects have you worked on to date?
Off the top of my head, the ones I recall are: Sanofi Lyon, Medichem, Grupo Jorge, SP Veterinaria, Sunlight, LeanBio, MM Flowers, Printfa, MSD Salamanca, among others.
Is there any project you would like to highlight in particular? Why?
A project that stands out significantly is the Sanofi project in Lyon, due to both the considerable amount of time it required and the high level of client demands, which made its management quite challenging. Additionally, this project delayed the official launch of the department’s original concept, as it absorbed most of the available resources at that time.
6. Collaboration with Other Departments
As a first step, we plan to present the department’s capabilities to both teams. For the Commercial Department, the proposal is to integrate Commissioning and Qualification services into their offerings and even support the sales team during meetings when needed. Regarding the Production Department, the focus is on implementing the documentation improvements developed from our templates and internally managing Qualification activities that are sometimes outsourced to third parties.
What kind of support do you offer or can offer to other areas of the company?
We provide support on all quality-related aspects linked to Valtria’s operations, especially concerning facilities and cleanrooms. Primarily, our assistance targets:
The Commercial Department, helping prepare proposals that include Commissioning and Qualification services.
The Production Department, by executing Commissioning or Qualification activities that have been previously contracted.
Additionally, we can support regulatory matters or other specific needs for areas such as Corporate Quality Assurance (QA), Technical Service, or Commissioning Teams.
Our department takes a cross-functional approach, actively participating throughout the different phases of a project: from the preparation of the proposal and review of client requirements, to the execution of the various stages of Commissioning and/or Qualification.
7. Future Outlook
The main challenge is to raise awareness within Valtria’s different branches about the added value our department can bring. To achieve this, it is essential first to earn the trust of our colleagues and from there consolidate the confidence of our clients, in order to drive the growth and positioning of the department.
The C&Q department has extensive experience in quality-related aspects linked to projects. If you have any questions, whether your own or from a client, do not hesitate to contact us. Our mission is to assist whenever it is within our capacity.

Jairo García, Head of Commissioning & Qualifications

First of all, let us introduce ourselves: we are Martina and Alberto, and we couldn’t be happier to present the new Italian branch of Valtria!
It’s a project we deeply believe in, part of the Group’s international growth journey, which we are building day by day with passion, energy, and… a pinch of madness! 😁
We both come from the world of automatic machines, a sector where we’ve built our careers working with some of the most important clients in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries… and beyond!
Today, we’ve chosen to take on a new challenge: bringing Valtria to Italy.
Our goal?
To offer new and cutting-edge solutions, with the same practical and client-oriented approach that has always distinguished Valtria.
Where are we?
|
Our headquarters is located in Castel Maggiore, near Bologna, where Clauger-Technofrigo is also based.
It’s a perfect location to reach all of Northern Italy and the main routes to Central and Southern Italy. |
....... | ![]() |
Valtria by Clauger officially began operations in Italy on January 7th: we are just at the beginning of this adventure, but we’ve already started working with our future clients and we are highly determined to grow Valtria here as well.
Alberto is always on the move, always in the field, and is the commercial point of reference in Italy. Tireless and determined, he is on the front line every day, in direct contact with clients, partners, and new opportunities. If there’s someone capable of making Valtria known and grow in the Italian market… it’s definitely him!
Martina, between Spanish classes, is working with colleagues in Barcelona to continuously strengthen her technical and operational skills. She’s a bundle of energy and enthusiasm, with an endless desire to grow and contagious determination.
Elisa, proposal engineer, will be joining the team in the coming days; she has already shown, since the first interviews, the right spirit and attitude for this challenge.
But we are not alone! By our side is a close-knit and highly skilled international team, and we’d like to introduce some of them:
From Spain, we receive extraordinary support, full of competence, dedication, and great passion. Here are those who accompany us every day in this adventure:
We are truly lucky to have such people by our side: passionate and committed professionals who make this adventure even more exciting every day.
In short, we are in great company… and it shows!
At the recent Pharmintech fair, we all worked together with great energy and team spirit, and the result was truly incredible: many people stopped by our stand, curious about who we are and what we do. We began to make ourselves known, effectively presented our offer, and gathered the needs of partners and potential clients, for whom we’ve already started working.
In these months, we’ve been working at full speed, contacting clients all over Italy, carefully listening to their needs and transforming them into tailored solutions. Every meeting, every call, every presentation is an opportunity to promote Valtria and share our passion for what we do. We have the skills, the energy, and a clear vision: we can do a lot… and we will!
We are eager to win our first Italian project: it will only be the first step on a path that promises great rewards.
We look forward to meeting you in person, collaborating together, and celebrating future successes! (With a good glass of wine, of course 🍷😉)

From left to right: Riccardo Tomassetti, Fabio Badiali, Samantha Perego, Carolina Aragón, Martina Pettazzoni, Alberto Mercandelli, Manuel Moreno.
A warm hug from the Valtria Italia team.
