VALTRIA´S PROJECTS
MICROSCOPE ROOM
SYSTEM OVERVIEW
This system is based on the installation of chilled water radiators within the room.
It is worth noting the inability to move air at a speed greater than 0.1m/s, which rules out any air conditioning system.
CONTROL OVERVIEW
The radiators are supplied by a high-precision water-to-water chiller, with a high-precision control of +/-0.2°C regulated by a high-precision sensor in the room for the evaporator circuit.
The condenser circuit of the high-precision machine is cooled by another standard water-to-air chiller.
PROJECT SCOPE
- Refrigeration equipment (chillers).
- Hydraulic distribution.
- Design and installation of chilled water radiators.
VALTRIA´S PROJECTS
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
The design involves creating a chilled water circuit that balances the interior thermal loads through 12 existing radiators in the room. There is a height difference of 4 floors, so the final distribution is achieved with the water-to-air standard chiller on the rooftop and the water-to-water chiller in the basement adjacent to the radiator room.
In collaboration with the UPC University (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), a thermodynamic test has been conducted using the radiators themselves under simulated conditions similar to those of the room prior to installation.
VALTRIA´S PROJECTS
FAES DERIO NEW PLANT
With an investment of around 200 million euros and a job creation capacity of around 200 people, Faes Farma's new manufacturing plant in Derio (Bizkaia) plans to manufacture 117 million drugs a year, including tablets, capsules, creams, suppositories and syrups.
On average, 336 pallets, or 24 tonnes of medicines per day, will leave the new plant each day.
OVERVIEW
The plant will have 30,000 square metres of floor space in addition to the area for access, parking and logistics. The area of ISO 8 rated rooms is approximately 23,200 m2.
The new plant is divided into three main blocks, a laboratory building, a production building and the logistics building.
In the so-called social building, there are, among other areas, the laboratory, quality control and microbiology areas.
VALTRIA´S PROJECTS
BATCHES CARRIED OUT BY VALTRIA
Valtria has actively participated in this project, contributing its expertise from the commercial phase to the final installation. They have reviewed the project carried out by the D. F. and suggested the necessary changes to ensure the functionality of the facilities.
The project awarded to Valtria in December 2021 for an amount of €10,866,000 includes the following main lots:
- Air conditioners - 80 pcs
- Air ducts - 75,000 m2 of ducts installed, not counting the extraction lines, most of which are in circular ductwork.
- Control - More than 3,000 control points integrated in the different panels installed in the technical areas and on the roof. 125 km of hose installed for our control installations alone. The installation was planned using Siemens CPUs and although it was initially planned to use Siemens ET200 distributed peripherals, due to market difficulties and time constraints, it was finally decided to install Phoenix Contact peripherals.
- Drying equipment for specific rooms such as soft capsule manufacturing, granulation areas, etc.
- Diffusion - Approximately 1,200 units between diffusion boxes and terminal units with H14 final filter in the room.
- Laminar flow cabinets for weighing and sampling.
- 16 dust collectors and their distribution of high vacuum piping.
- Climatic chambers
The financial closure estimate exceeds €12,500,000, approximately €2,000,000 more than initially contracted (...)

🏸 It was a fantastic sports day where the VALTRIA player duo, composed of Ruben Rodriguez and Fernando Cantelar (Renault), became the OVERALL RUNNERS-UP of the tournament 🥈.
🙌 After the award ceremony, the sponsors and organizers presented a check worth €2,000 to the CRIS Foundation against Cancer, supporting the research conducted by this foundation.

WHO ARE YOU?
Hello from Switzerland, we are the team of VALTRIA SWISS! consisting of 12 people and based in Zurich region, among the best places in the world to enjoy Swiss chocolate and cheese fondue.
Our team: Fidel Schüpfer, Thomas Krauss, Esa Högel, Markus Högel, Sebastian Klar, Miguel Gomez, Daniela Reese, Julien Böke, Dureid Qazzazie, Patrick Landis, Pirmin Eggenreich and Ahmed Elsayed. We receive further major support from our colleagues in Madrid, Elena González, and Andrea Rubio, who are actively working with us on several projects.
WHEN AND WHERE WAS YOUR DELEGATION CREATED?
Our delegation was created in 2018 and our office has been located in Volketswil ever since then. The region is called Zürcher Oberland ("Zurich highlands") representing the hilly south-eastern part of the canton of Zurich and benefiting from its close proximity to the city of Zurich as well as to Zurich airport. We are looking forward to moving into a new more corporate office in August 2023 which will also be located in the district of Uster.

WHERE AND WITH WHICH CLIENTS DO YOU WORK?
We work with national as well as international customers. We are growing at national level, whereas our international customers are mainly from Germany, Finland, Italy and Greece. Furthermore, our employees also have introduced Valtria into the Scandinavian market, i.e., into Finland over the past few years and most recently into Sweden. Meanwhile, there are two independent subsidiaries operating in the aforementioned Scandinavian countries.
We have strong expertise in microelectronics and high-tech industry whereat serving renowned customers, such as:
Besides, we excel in dry room design and engineering for battery applications, thereby, realizing together with our colleagues in Madrid a Lithium-ion battery production facility for:
Apart from that, we design and install customized solvent recovery system solutions, such as special N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) projects, since NMP is used as an organic solvent in the production of lithium-ion battery cathodes. The installation of such recycling systems from NMP allows our customers to control energy consumption and to meet environmental requirements, thus, optimizing their industrial processes.

CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT ANY INTERESTING NEWS FROM YOUR DELEGATION OR A LOCAL EVENT IN RECENT MONTHS?
Zurich Sechseläuten is a spring festival celebrating the end of winter by burning a symbolic snowman called the Böögg in April. The event is a a centuries-old tradition to herald the beginning of spring in Zurich. Besides guild members attired in historical costumes, the festival is characterized by music ensembles, horses, flowers, flags, and the symbolic snowman Böögg.
Nowadays, the Böögg is even the main protagonist: The pyre with the snowman figure on top is set alight when the clock of the Grossmünster church strikes 6 pm (Sechseläuten: lit. six o'clock ringing). The faster Böögg’s head – which is filled with fireworks – explodes, the finer the summer will be. At least that’s what the people of Zurich say. By the way, this year, the head of the Mr. Weatherman exploded in 57 minutes exactly, setting a record, obviously not paving the way for a wonderful summer.

YOUR AMBITION FOR 2023!
Due to the high order intake last year and the corresponding BU production of approximately 25 Mio.€ in 2023, a further dynamic development at Valtria Swiss is emerging. The scaling of production is a significant challenge, while we we are serving our customers and implementing the solutions by means of the projects with all our strength and energy. Hence, we would be very happy and feel relieved if our customers are happy at the end of the year.
Moreover, our interest is also focused on the imminent relocation of our office from Volketswil to the city of Uster. We have made a conscious decision to stay close by. On the one hand, because we feel very connected to the region, on the other hand, to be able to continue benefiting from the excellent framework conditions for entrepreneurial activity in this region.

I was born in Bilbao and I have always lived here
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO JOIN VALTRIA?
I was looking for a job change because I wasn't happy in my previous one. I came across the job vacancy and sent in my application.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT VALTRIA?
Well, I have always worked in installation companies, HVAC, and industrial type. So this is the field where I can bring experience. I had never had contact with clean rooms before, and I found it very interesting because it is a step beyond an HVAC installation, where all parameters have to be precise. The working and work-life balance conditions are good, I am a father of three children, so managing work and family life is always a total chaos.
AND OUTSIDE VALTRIA, WHAT ACTIVITIES DO YOU ENJOY IN YOUR FREE TIME?
Well, what I like most is music, as a fan, I'm a music lover and I like going to concerts a lot, especially in small venues where you can be close to the stage. And 3 years ago I got together with some friends and we formed a band of covers, rock, punk, and derivatives. With the sole objective of getting together to rehearse and have a good time, without any other pretensions, and it's a real pleasure. I also like science fiction and horror films a lot.

I was working in Valtria at the beginning, and I decided to leave to develop in other fields. I left with a lot of regret, as I had always been comfortable and happy in the company. During these years away, I have not lost contact at all, as I continued to talk to colleagues and even attended the occasional meal. When Adrian called me and explained the project there was little to think about... I was coming home!

The working environment, and the day-to-day work with colleagues. The spirit of teamwork, all working together to move the project forward. Employee treatment and understanding on the part of the company to facilitate personal issues.

I play volleyball, at amateur level, I've been playing in a mixed municipal league for years and since last year I've also been playing in a women's team. Furthermore, I really enjoy travelling to all kinds of destinations, whether near or far. The important thing is to discover new places... and try their cuisine, because I also really enjoy eating.

Some time ago, I did the math and it became clear to me that I needed to work in order to provide my daughters with everything I wanted to give them. That's why I decided to look for a company that would appreciate everything I could bring to the table with my education and experience in finance. At the same time, I didn't want to compromise on a good working environment and camaraderie, where easy and direct communication was an objective to be achieved.

The colleagues, from the beginning I felt welcome. My incorporation in the department was done with constant help and with the vision of integrating myself into the team. It is very pleasant to have breakfast and lunch while listening to the anecdotes and experiences of our colleagues.

I did work for Valtria Swiss AG as a freelance site manager at the huge Oulu project. I got to know a strong team and also learned more about Valtria. When I was asked to submit my CV I was honored and confident that I could bring my experience and dedication to a progressive company.

The employee is promoted, supported and also challenged. These help each individual to develop further. And when the employee develops, the company develops as well.

I come from the medical device world and was looking for new challenges, focusing on everything related to marketing, which is where I enjoy, explore, and grow. I had heard great things about Valtria and didn't hesitate for a second to apply for the position.

The team, the closeness, and the fact that what I had heard is true.

Although I consider myself a down-to-earth person, I can adapt to any environment. You could easily find me near the sea, trying my hand at being an impromptu quad rider, getting lost while following a mountain trail, or screaming on a ride because I absolutely love that kind of adrenaline.
I'm very adventurous, and I always make time to escape from routine. The best part is that I find happiness in the little things, like an ice-cold Coca-Cola, Nike sneakers, escape rooms, chocolat, sparkly clothes, and playing with my dragon (although jealous people might call it a lizard).

In this month and a half what I like most is the good atmosphere among colleagues and so far I feel very comfortable to be part of this company.

So far, what I have seen and liked is the way superiors (managers) interact with the workers, as well as the ease and speed of obtaining the necessary tools for work.

Sigüenza, a beautiful medieval village between Guadalajara and Soria.

Because of my interest in BIM methodology and in the chemical and pharmaceutical sector (where I also worked as a laboratory technician).I had previously worked for Valtria, with a very good experience, and here I saw a great opportunity because of all that I could learn from these two worlds.

I would highlight the relationship with colleagues and the working atmosphere, which are unbeatable; there is a lot of trust and a great willingness to lend a hand.

I'm a big basketball fan and I love skiing. In general, I really enjoy my time with friends, I'm always available for a game of basketball, a mountain hike... I'm up for any plan or trip that comes my way. I also really enjoy the world of video games.
